Bubbly actress Hansika Motwani is not just glam doll in the industry but also seems to be a socially aware celebrity. The actress is already known for participating in several initiatives that does good for the society in some way or other. The actress is also the busiest actress down the south, with almost six to seven film offers in her kitty in both Tamil and Telugu cinema industry. Despite her busy schedule, the Settai actress manages to find time to participate in the social awareness programs. The recent effort made by the actress is joining an organization to support awareness against the breast cancer.

Hansika Motwani has now become the ambassador for the ‘Chennai Turns Pink’ movement, which supports awareness against the breast cancer among the urban woman. This initiative operates under the guidance of West Cancer Research Foundation, which has roped in the actress to support the awareness program and to a wider reach and awareness among the woman living in big cities.


Recently, the ‘Chennai Turns Pink’ program was launched in Chennai. Hansika Motwani took an off from her busy schedule and attended the launching ceremony and also released an official theme song in support to the breast cancer awareness program. Another great thing the actress did was, she extended her support to thirty women who need resources and funds to take a fight against the breast cancer. She assured that she will take care of all the expenses for the thirty women identified by the organizers as breast cancer victims.

The actress also met the press and added that such programs would sure help increase the awareness against deadly diseases such as cancer. She added the women should be thought to be more aware of such forms of cancer.
For your information, the actress already made news for taking care of all the expenses of twenty two orphan children!

Trisha was unhappy with the arrangements made and asked the producer to book a separate suite for her mother too. However, the producer was hesitant to book a separate suite for Trisha’s mother as the suite is quite an expensive one. The sources say that in Indian currency the suite rent was more than thirty thousand per night.
The sources reveal that Trisha began to throw tantrums since the producer did not nod to her demands. Hence, it seems as if the pretty actress called the producer and threatened him that she would act in the movie only if he books a separate suite for her mother too. The producer, without any other go, obliged to the demand of Trisha and booked a separate suite for her mother later.

The sources say that the producer was very irritated with Trisha’s unprofessional behavior. The sources also say that the entire movie unit is not happy with the actress’s way of behaving as a star!

Now, Tamilar Nalam Periyakkam, which consists of supporters to the director Kalanjiam has now filed the suit in Salem court.
The defamation suit reads that director Kalanjiam works for the welfare of the Tamil people and the allegations made by Anjali had hurt the director a lot and had also hurt the sentiments of Tamil people for whom he has been working for. The court has accepted the defamation suit and has fixed the hearing of the case on May 13.

It is still unclear whether the actress is going to be summoned to the court. The actress was already called to the court on another defamation suit filed personally by the director Kalanjiam himself.
Anjali’s career was taking a growth before all these troubles, and she managed to bag some big flicks in both Tamil and Telugu industries. Bow, the success of the current projects is going to decide whether the actress would have further growth in her career.

However, the mess begins to happen when the team knows that Arumai Prakasam has been planning for his own kidnap to get money from his father to start his own business. What happens next forms the rest of the plot.



Director Nalan Kumarasamy’s Soodhu Kavvum works very well to be honest. The movie has everything lined up neatly for a perfect entertainer carrying a genre that is somewhat new to the audiences in Tamil Nadu. The movie’s characters, the brilliant screenplay, the dialogues all carry the vision of the director in every essence.

The audiences never feel bored or disappointed thanks to the interesting story telling ability of the director. The characters have been given considerable screen place and the actors have done more than justice to their roles.

Santhosh Narayanan’s background helps the movie in a great way.

Moondru Paer Moondru Kaadhal is the latest offering from the acclaimed filmmaker Vasanth. Director Vasanth was in silent mode for almost six years since his Satham Podathe movie released way back in the year of 2007. Moondru Paer Moondru Kaadhal is a multi starrer that stars seniors in the industry like Arjun and Cheran and the upcoming actor Vemal. The movie is of romance genre and the director has stuck to the genre quite nicely, setting up the mood of love in even the finest details of the movie. However, what is disappointing is that Vasanth has not given a fitting end to what he intended to do.

Moondru Paer Moondru Kaadhal tracks three stories in a parallel way. Varun (Vemal) and Anjana (Lasini), Harris (Arjun) and Divya (Surveen Chawla), Guna (Cheran) and Mallika (Mukhtha Banu) are the three lovely pairs around whom the stories revolve around. Another interesting thing is that each love story happens in three different landscapes – the plains, the sea and the hills. How the characters meet, what brews their romance, how they handle it and how they get together in life is what makes the plot of Moondru Paer Moondru Kaadhal.



Breathtaking landscapes, awesome visuals, interesting and dignified characters, and above all romance sets the tone of Moondru Paer Moondru Kaadhal in a great way. Director Vasanth does not care about the commercial element lovers and as usual has gone with his own style of filmmaking. The movie moves at a slow pace, the characters care for details, they mostly come from the well to do and happy families and are mostly practical in their approach.
While the above things have clearly worked as an advantage of Moondru Paer Moondru Kaadhal, director Vasanth seems to have struggled in taking things further as the movie does not appear to find a fitting end to its proceedings.

Songs were already a hit, thanks to Yuvan Shankar Raja, but their inclusion dampen the pace of the already snail paced movie. Visuals are stunning thanks to the brilliant camerawork.

Ethir Neechal – Rollercoaster funride of two stories shelved under

Alright, the longtime no see movie is here folks! The movie is Produced by Dhanush, who has pleased the audience with a small cameo in one of the songs. Directed by Vetrimaran’s assistant R.S DuraiSenthilkumar, who is pinning all hopes on a movie which is full of elements any movie goer would ask for. After KBKR, Siva Karthikeyan’s fan will have a treat on May 1, being a holiday this just adds the masala on the hype factor. Priyaanand ,Nandita, Jayaprakash and Sathish form the ensemble cast of this movie. Music is by Anirudh, which is already rocking the charts for a long time. Phew, so what is this Ethirneechal about, let’s find out!
Who is this ‘Kunjithapatham’

Well, you heard it right! That’s our hero’s name in this movie! He detests the name so much that, he relates all his failures to this name. With an average job and a sidekick (Sathish), the story fizzles out with the usual stuff of hero chasing heroine concept. But considering his name to be a serious insult, he changes it to be ‘Harish’ a modern urban kind which he longed for. So life becomes smooth and almost immediately Harish falls in love with Geetha (Priyaanand). All is well until Geetha finds out the real name and the hiccups are there on the way.

So predictably the sorrow comes in form of drinks, an item song with Dhanush and Nayantara and an advice by the leading lady. Promptly Harish gets his mind changed about winning in life. To prove the talent within, Harish digs his past and discovers the runner inside him, so tries his hand in the International marathon event with the help of Valli (Nandita), who is a former sprinter.
Reminiscence of ‘Chak de‘ , ‘Rocky Balboa‘ , ‘Badri‘ and so many other training scenes comes across immediately. If the first half was comedy ridden, the second is fully sentimental. That being the plot the movie settles down with the question, if he will make it big? Will he avenge his name? Who is Valli? Watch and find out what happens next!
Waves of Ethirneechal

Post Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, the million dollar question remained, if Siva can maintain his hero fame? Will he be able to cope up with Kollywood’s critical acting? Ladies and gentleman, we have a brand new Siva here. Whistles and shouts for his screen presence apart; Siva is a delight to watch with his witty grasp of humor and some wonderful acting.
Silently making progress is Sathish who shares the comedy segment with Siva. Though it’s almost a similar role that he played in Marina, his crispy comedy is hard to go unnoticed. He plays the perfect role of a guy who whines about his friend’s puppy love, and then unwillingly helps him as well.
Elsewhere the two leading ladies fit neat into their roles. Priya Anand is cute looking and the onscreen chemistry between Siva and Priya Anand seem to be clicking well! However disappears after the first half only to enter later on. Nandita grabs the meaty role of a trainer and is quite good at it.
Perhaps the biggest winner of all is the Music, Anirudh‘s music is a class of its own and the songs make you hum, sway and tap! But the sad part is that, the director has engulfed four songs in the first half and its almost one song is over and you sense urgency in the screenplay to fit the next one.
The song ‘Sathiyama nee enaku‘ is a whamming kuthu number with Dhanush‘s presence making it big for his fans, but much anticipated Nayantara appears for less than a minute making role hushed. Velraj deserves a special mention for his excellent cinematography work for ‘Velicha Poove‘.

Now for the final say, the director has made a wonderful movie no doubts or big qualms. However the movie’s story line is wafer thin ice with the plot itself being very predictable. Post second half the movie’s story line is nothing short of what you see in the usual flashbacks with some devious plots, sentiments and normal stuff. There are some big craters which defy logic in this movie, such as the lead gets edgy when he is called ‘Kunjithapatham‘, but that being the sole reason to prove himself is questionable. The first half and second half barely are two strands threaded mediocrely into one with some arguable intentions.
Ergo, this movie will be path breaking for Siva, a sure summer special for everyone.

‘Don’t panic sir… We have kidnapped your daughter sir… Take a deep breath… Are you alright now? What’s your monthly salary? You are working in a bank and I’m sure you would get more? The date is 10. Hope you have full salary. Kindly get ready with our cash and I’ll call you shortly..’ as Vijay Sethupathi says this to a bank manager, he walks straight into his room to collect the cash and gifts his daughter a 1000 rupees note for shopping. The theatre gets spangled with whistles and claps as the background score pumps in more energy.
It is a written theory that newcomers always have fresh ideas to convey and Nalan Kumarasamy seems to have made a firm decision on not compromising with it. The establishment of characters during the initial portions might seem a little sluggish, but once Vijay Sethupathi along with his mysterious Sanchitha Shetty appears, it’s a smile on everyone’s face. Of course, who can forget his first attempt of kidnapping a teen girl only to get unceasingly bashed in his face.

A bunch of good-for-nothing youngsters come across a 40-yr old Das (Vijay Sethupathi) only to know that he is a ‘KEDNAPPER‘ with 5 rules – Never kidnap a big fish, never threaten them, fulfill their needs, never use a weapon and finally, give up if the deal isn’t going to happen. Although reluctant at first, the youngsters later join the team of Das with a unique testament of kidnapping. But things go terribly wrong, when they get an offer to abduct Arumai Pragasam (Karunakaran of ‘Pizza‘ fame), son of an honest politician (MS Bhaskar). Heads roll, plans are spoiled, fantasies are burnt and lives are almost at its extinct.
He makes a trenchant mark and the way he has chosen is perfect to succeed in tinsel town. Vijay Sethupathi as a-40 year old Das is extraordinary and no one has ever performed such a role.
Sanchitha Shetty looks beautiful and sensuous, but her projection of fantasy world is okay. The others in the cast have stuck to the characterizations breathing lives into them.
MS Bhaskar, Radha Ravi and Yog Japee completely fit the role to T.

Musical score by Santhosh Narayanan enhances the visual effects with background score. ‘Kaasu Panam‘ and the theme music of ‘Soodhu Kavvum‘ are the cherry-picks of this film. Cinematography and editing are done with sleekness. If the dialogues in few portions were kept crisp and trimmed in duration, the film would have been yet more convincing.
